Contra entries in different dates

17 September 2013 Dear Experts,

Can Contra entries could be accounted in tow different dates dates??

For example while doing Internal Audit I came across situations where in Tally Contra entry has posted 13-Sep-13, as per the bank stm credit has came 14-Sep-13, and some cases two days later.

is there any requirement to mention this point in my my Internal Audit on cash operations.

17 September 2013 It is possible that bank may have given the credit for the transaction a day or two later.

Not something you should be worried about.
