Hello i want to know that
In my company one employee talking salary as a consultant in Professional category.and if he crossing the limit of 10 lakh so he have must bring his service tax registration Number.so if he would not take this number so what would happened...

the company should not make payment of service tax without the service tax registration number of the consultant

the laibility to get registered with the Service tax department is of the consultant

under any provisions of the service tax, the laibilty of the company doesn't arise if the party does not gets registered with SErvice Tax department
