03 October 2011 Hello i want to know that

In my company one employee talking salary as a consultant in Professional category.and if he crossing the limit of 10 lakh so he have must bring his service tax registration Number.so if he would not take this number so what would happened...

03 October 2011 the company should not make payment of service tax without the service tax registration number of the consultant

03 October 2011 under any provisions of the service tax, the laibilty of the company doesn't arise if the party does not gets registered with SErvice Tax department

04 October 2011 AGREE WITH MR. PUSHPENDRA.

EMPLOYEE CANNOT BE CONSULTANT. SEE THE AGREEMENT OR APPOINTMENT LETTER. IF THE DOCUMENTORY EVIDENCE PROVIDES HE IS A CONSULTANT THEN MR. PUSHPENDRA IS RIGHT.
