Confusion about articleship

Hello everyone,
I have appeared for CA-IPCC in May'12 an i am expecting a positive result. I am searching for articleship firms since long and after much search have made my own list of firms in Mumbai. But i am still confused as to opt for big4 firms or midsize firms. I would like to get an overall exposure of the practical aspects in all fields and also a decent leave of 3-4 months prior to my Final CA attempt is required. Considering all this in mind what kind of firms shall i opt for?
Can anyone please let me know their experience in some good firms in Mumbai.
I have evn heard in Deloitte, even after having departmentation, they do let articles work in other departments and also they give a good leave period before Final CA attempt. Is it true?
Please someone clear my doubts.... waiting for a reply at the earliest.

as per ur preferences i would suggest you to join a mid-sized firm,
