what is new service tax rate for work contract service tax composition scheme.

There is no such scheme Now.you have just tio refer Rule 2A of the valuation Rules.which provides for payment of ser.tax on 40% or 70 % of the value of the servic portion as specified there in.tks

Pl.read 40 % or 70% of the gross amount charged instead of servie portion.If you are able to value the service portion then you may pay on that value otherwise you have toascertain whetherthenservice falls under ORIGINAL works or the other one like maintainenace atc and accordingly you have to pay either on 40% of the gross amount charged or on the 70% of the gross amount charged.this is asper the latest amendmendt.If SP is proprietorship/partnership/LLp etc and the SR is a c ompany then payment responsibility is 50% of both parties each.hope it will be more clear now tks n rgds ca sagar mal pareek, bhauch Gujarat,9824346469,email_smpfca@gmail.com
