13 August 2013 Is it mandatory to change the name of Pvt Company while changing its main object where new objects are different to Company name. If yes then under what section is it written

It is the Form-1A, requirement that the change of name requires change in the main objects of the company.

If you will not fill such form-1A, properly the ROC will not approve your name change application.

13 August 2013 Mr. Ajay thanks for your precious reply, but my question was that is it mandatory to change the name of company while changing its main object not to change in object clause due to change in name of Company

13 August 2013 If your proposed name is showing the main business of the company then no need to change your main object. But if your proposed name and main object s different then it will be require to change the name. For example;

If Your company Name is RXL Real Estate Private Limited and your main object reflect to do manufacture of computer hardware or software, then ROC will object such name change application.

13 August 2013 actually sir, our Company deals in Fiber products and its name end with Fibromats pvt ltd. but now the directors are planing to change its main objects to carry out electrical goods, but they dont want to change the name of Company. I am also agree with your answer and this is what i was saying to my sir....
but he said it is not so, and if it is so then tell me where it is written in Company Law......

13 August 2013 Sorry, for my above reply, now it is now changed, by new Name Availability Guidelines, that you can do business.

Please read point 9.1 of this guideline:

It is not necessary that the proposed name should be indicative of the main object.;
