is it possible to form a new company in the name of a company that has been struck off 3 years back?

No. Limitation period is 20 years as per 1956 Act and the rules under 2013 Act.

Thanks a lot Chackrapani Sir.. Yes as u said there is limitation period of 20 years in section 560(6) of The Companies Act 1956..
However here in this case the Directors (who are also the shareholders) of the Company which has been struck off now want to start a new company in the same name.. Will that be possible ?
