It seems that u r asking from exams point of view.....
I think u should follow the following tips:-

-->Do Valuation of goodwill before doing valuation of shares
-->First read the theory of d chapters ...topicwise....try solving illustration of the module ,they r really good.... once u finish with the illustrations try solving scanner....and if u have any problem in solving scanner questions u can refer suggested available on dthis website or u can purchase compiler...
