Communication on arrear demand

16 February 2012 I have recd mail from intimations@cpc.gov.in which states that
" Please find attached intimation under section 245 of arrear demand payable by you under the provisions of the Income Tax Act, 1961."

There is an attcahment which says that i have to pay approx RS 12000/- and no calculation for the same has been given i that mail/ attachment.

I have filed IT return with refund of Rs 1300/- and have also checked my form 16 A which states that my salary was hardly 1.6 lac p.a during that assesment year of 2007-08.
Kindly help how do i go about this notice

16 February 2012 You could login in to your account on www.incometaxindia.gov.in.. under my account you can make request for intimation under section 143(1).. it shall have the complete details...

19 February 2012 Yes you have to Register under the username
of Your PAN No on incometaxindia e-filing website.
