Comments in Excel

05 June 2009 Everytime I try to put comments in any of the cells in Excel a name appears. I do not want the name to appear by default. How to do this?

click home button ( the upper and left most round button)


click excel options


click popular

in user name tupe the name you want to get appear in starting of each comment. If you don't want nat name pur a space.

and then reopen it

06 June 2009 Thanks it is working but I am getting a colon(:) sign still in comment box. Is there a way to avoid that too?
