Dear Experts,
Residents of a building has formed a co-operative for maintenance of the building. Is such co operative liable for reg. under service tax and pay the same ?

This is taxable under Clubs or Association service. Basic exemption of Rs.10 lakhs is available. Also service tax is not leviable if monthly contribution from individual member is less than Rs.3000/-
