can a new additional director appointed for a private ltd company be also an executive director of the same company? or the concept of additional & Executive director is totally different ?

Yes, additional Director can eb appointed as Executive Director of the Co.
Executive director means a Director who devotes his maximum time in business of the Company like an employee.
Additional Director means director who is appointed by Board & who holds directorship only upto next AGM & he shall appointed by Members in AGM.
