Closure of Company under EES

17 February 2011 Hello All,

according to EES the company which is not having a business from 01/04/2008 is eligible, i want to know that when a company is incorpororated in July'08, but has not carried any business operations till date is also a defunct company & eligible under this scheme

17 February 2011 Companies incorporated on or after 01/04/2008 are not eligible to avail EES 2011.

what is the easiest way to close the company ? do we have to go through CLB only ? what are the procedures, apprx cost & time incurred in the same ?

17 February 2011 You have to make an application to ROC under Section 560 of the Companies Act for striking off the name of the company. You may engage a Practising Company Secretary who shall guide you on the procedure, cost and the time involved in this exercise.
