An assessee did not file his ITR for A.Y.2010-11 and TDS was deducted for that year.Now can he claim TDS of A.Y.2010-11 in A.Y.2011-12 ITR?

You cannot file the return and even if filed your return is lodged and no credit canbe given
e filing for AY2010-11 is not possible.But manual MAY be possible.

Thank you so much for your reply but i wanted to know that whether TDS of A.Y.2010-11 can be claimed in A.Y.2011-12 Return or not alogwith claiming the TDS of A.Y.2011-12 beacause return is yet to be filed for A.Y.2011-12

Hello Mr. Anant,
You can not claim TDS in A.Y: 2011-12 and there is no other way to claim the same.you have to forget the TDS deducted from Income.

You cannot claim previous year TDS in current year or vice versa.
Pl beware of notice calling you file the return of income for the Asst Yr 2010-11
But if your gross income not much attractive pl dont worry and forget the TDS
