Claiming of Interest paid on Home Loan

This query is : Resolved

Quick Summary
This discussion explores whether interest paid on a home loan during the pre-construction period can be claimed under Section 24b of the Income Tax Act. The key point of contention is whether receiving possession on a 'fit-out basis' constitutes legal ownership for tax purposes. The advice suggests that ownership is likely not established in this scenario, preventing the claim.
