If a manufacturer pays service tax on insurance charges , security charges , telephone , repair & maintenance etc. , can he claim cenvat credit for the same????????

Yes, you can utilize Service Tax credit for excise duty payment. # Ser tax on Insu for employees not eligible, but Stock/PM/Bldgs are eligible Ser tax on telephone - office & personal, not eligible Ins on Security charges, for factory, is eligible.
