WE ARE PAYING ANNUALLY SUBSCRIPTION FEES TO FARIDABAD INDUSTRIES ASSOCIATION. THEY ARE CHARGING SERVICE TAX ON IT. CAN WE CLAIM CENVATE OF THIS SERVICE TAX. PLEASE TELL AS PER SECTION & RULE

20 June 2013 1)cenvat credit is eligible and can claim in my opinion..with below explanation to the best of my understanding..provided it is corporate membership and related to business.

2)The definition of ‘input service’ has to be interpreted in the light of the requirements of business and cannot be read restrictively so as to confine only upto the factory or only upto depot of manufacturers.

3)Membership fee is eligible for a director
Note: here director should not be employee relation ship.

2)Corporate membership of a club should be eligible--should be related to business

3)Not Eligible for employees,

4)Not eligible if membership is in name of any particular employee
