19 February 2014 Can a manufacturing co. claim Cenvat credit of the service tax paid by reverse charge on legal bills/ telephone bill etc.?

any conditions for it?

Does it require any nexus to be proved with the manufacturing activity?

19 February 2014 First of all, why reverse charge on telephone bills?

Your question regarding reverse charge on legal charges paid can be claimed after payment of service tax.

20 February 2014 reverse charge on legal bills not telephone.

If the service tax is paid on the legal bills and thereafter claimed by the manufacturing unit towards Cenvat Credit, can it be disallowed citing non existence of nexus with the manufacturing activity ?

if it is disallowed then the demand will be along with Interest and Penalty which can ne exhorbitant considering the amount claimed?
