23 March 2013 friends is their any case law or circular which say service tax credit on inward qfter abatement is allowed...... pls give reply..

07 April 2013 Friends my querry is that if manufacturar is liable to pay service tax on freight inward due to reverse charge and that manufacturar pay service tax on 25% value of freight by avaling abatement exemption than whether that mf is allowed to avail cenvat credit of service tax paid on freight inward service if yes than pls reffer any case law or circular no. Thanks i hope now my querry is clear....

07 April 2013 Yes, Cenvat of ST on 'Inward Freight' is available to a manufacturer as per the definition of 'input service'. Abatement availed or not has no relevance for the purpose of its Cenvat. Pls ensure that the service of GTA has been availed for the purpose of manufacturing your dutiable final product.
