This query is : Resolved

16 March 2015 if my income is less than the ceiling limit and if I have short term capital gains from trading in shares, and the total of my normal income and short term capital gain do not exceed rs 250000 then, do I have to pay tax? or can I use the ceiling limit for short term capital gain also?

16 March 2015 no need to pay tax as your income is below slab so take the benefit but need to file itr.

16 March 2015 Thank you very much for your help. My clients income is about 100000 and short term capital gains are about 45000. So is it compulsory to file the return??
