MY BUSINESS IS KIRANA STORE AND GENERAL STORE. CUSTOMERS PURCHASE OF RS.500 OR 1000,INVOICE IS COMPULSORY IN THIS CASE

Yes invoice for value above Rs.200/- is compulsory.

I was under the impression that invoicing is compulsory for each and every sale made irrespective of invoice value.
With reference to the question by the querist, bearing in mind practical aspect, if he ise out of GST (non inter state sale and below 20 lakhs) he can afford to be less stringent about your billing systems.
