I have purchased a land way back in 90's and I have donated to my mother in Nov 2012, if my mother sells the land now(before March 14) will it attract short term capital gain or long term capital gain

Yes.Gift is not taxable.But when your mother sells that the same will be taxable under income under the head Capital Gain
