can minor become karta of a HUF

17 July 2008 in a huf there are four member one is karta other three are his wife, his daughter and his son respectively. karta daughter and son is minor. after death of karta can his minor son become the karta of huf or not.
wheter the property of karta in his individual name transfered to his huf or not.

17 July 2008 On attaining majority he becomes a karta.
His individual property if merged with HUE, can not get the HUF status under IT Act, though under Hindu Law it could.

17 July 2008 suppose huf run a business through his karta. all the required registration no i.e. tin no. excise no. is obtain in the name of the huf. after the death of the karta what is the status of the business. who can autorize to operate the business if in the family there is only wife and two minor son.
