ours is a partnership firm. one of partnership firm receives salary from another partnership firm in which he is not a partner.
is this allowed?

One of partnership firm receiving salary from another firm ? How a firm can recive salary? I think your query is not clear. Only a partner can receive salary from other firm although he is not the partner of the firm as an employee.
