Can a mla be a director of a company?

31 December 2013 hello can any body please tell me if a MLA can become a director/ shareholder in a private company? And all other related provisions regarding a MLA holding any other profit sharing firms.

31 December 2013 yes. an MLA/MP can be directors in a company - private/public/listed etc. They can be partners in firms too.

31 December 2013 well many MLA/MP do. Navin Jindal, Dhreda, and many such MP/MLAs are directors on various companies and draw remuneration...there is no restriction on that. even a CA can continue his/her practice after becoming MP/MLA
