22 September 2014 I am doing my articleship in a small firm. and my ca final attempt is in may 2015, I asked my principal for exam leave of 6 months he denied it stating that he will allow me for 3 months for both the group. I requested him I'm ready to extend my articleship for extra leave period. But he didn't agree with that also and put further conditions that he will grant me 6 months leave but I have to clear both the group in first attempt if not then I have to work for 1 year as articleship under him under a written agreement. As a principal can a CA do this with his article students and will this be a valid agreement??? Please suggest your opinion on this.. It will be very helpful for me. Thanks for your comments.

22 September 2014 no it wont be a valid agreement. but please note that your demand for six months also is not within ICAI regulations...regulations give permission for 3 months
