I am working in a retail sector from last 5 years & had completed MBA (Correspondence) from Symbiosis. Now I want to go for CA. Can anyone guide me in details please

23 December 2009 Mr. Retail Manager; you have to plan for a "Wholesale" study for a number of years if you wish to pass CA.

If you wish to be a CA, you have to leave your present job for at least for 4 years.

Looking to your desire and circumstances; it is better to pursue CS Course because competition is less.

Within 2 years; you can get this qualification.

Even after 1 year; if you clear Executive Course; you will be a fit person to be appointed as Company Secretary in a company whose paid up capital is upto Rs.2 crore.

23 December 2009 Dear Sir,

I am interested in account & presently working as Asst Manger- Finance & Account. I have the willingness to complete the CA course while doing job. Only in article shift I need to leave my present job. But donâ€™t have idea about the process. I had read on ICAI site about the process to be CA but the same is for the student who are in college & havenâ€™t yet completed their 12th also. I want to know the process after B Com. Is the process same for 12th pass & B Com pass student?. Please help me sir.

23 December 2009 While doing articleship you cannot continue your job.

Same process for 12th pass and B.Com. pass students. They have to clear CPT.

Still suggest you to have qualification in CS.

In CS also; Company Accounts and Cost Accountancy is there. Try to score highest marks in this paper.

Since you are already in corporate sector as I presume; hence this professional degree will also work. All the accounting standards you can refer.

You can have in-depth knowledge by referring different books.

Since ATC (Accounting Technician Certificate) course has been introduced by the ICAI; hence if you wish you can avail upto this level.

24 December 2009 For ICWA also; you have to pursue 3 years practical training and during training you will not be allowed to do service.
