26 May 2010 NO CPT is not necessary after B.Com. If you have given exams of B Com Third Year, then you can apply for IPCC of CA and registration wiil be done provisionally. After getting the results of B.com you wil submit them with ICAI, and your registration willl be confirmed.

26 May 2010 IF DONE BCOM,MBA,CS,CWA ANY COURSE YOU HAVE TO ENTER CA THROUGH CPT ITSELF, CPT IS COMPULSORY THEN IPCC AND FINAL..ALL THE BEST

26 May 2010 CPT is mandatory. You can not escape from CPT Exam to join CA.

26 May 2010 Thanks a lot for Mr. Padma and Mr. Bala for enlighten me on this. I really never noticed this change......
But still doubted about this, since not know why it is done, then no use of Graduation or any qualification for doing CA....

26 May 2010 yes...Even i was not knowing about making it compulsory...

Actually its a good way of Business.... After 12th or Bcom students are going to clear the exams anyhow... so why not to make it compulsoryyy..... A real good business and making money.. or i can say printing money....

26 May 2010 I agree with Mr. Rahul & Mr Shivang and I really appreciate the concern which they show towards the students. But the problem is we don't express our concern while voting in elections or when our opinions are solicited by the Institute. Many of us even settle in the foriegn country and pass judgements on ICAI functioning without dicharging our responsibilties towards the Institute & its functioning.
