Hello every one, I Recently become CA in May 2011 examination, My intention is to practice, can any one guide which are the courses which I should do to serve my client better and effictively

it depends on the area in whihc you want to see your firm to be an expert.
If PMS then some courses from AMFI,if SLA then contact insuracne Insti of India and Insurance and risk mgt., if taxation then i believe no spicific course and so on..

Thank You Sir for your reply. Can u elaborate further about what should I choose as I would practice in Guwahati (north east), which specialization would be better for me. Somewhere I also read about actuary couse, I am quite confused what to do & how to select any specialization course

if you pursue acturial course then you'll not be able to practice. Acturies generally work for Insurance companies.
which domain you need to excel depends on the scope of services in demand there.
If you ask me personaly i would like to advice you to go for Insurance Survey and Loss assessment. you need to pursue a small course from Insurance Institute of India to become Surveyor and loss assessor. for more information visit (http://www.insuranceinstituteofindia.com)
This is one of the most lucrative area for practicing CAs of whihc most of the CAs are unaware. Along with SLA you can do regular CA practice. once you pass course you need to get yourself empaneled with the various General insurance companies.
