Ca after graduation

25 November 2013 hello I am a eco hons final year student from hansraj college.I have a backlog and will be able to clear the exam next year only.now I want to pursue ca and take exam in june.what should I do.is it even a good option.I scored 95% in commerce and 97 in accounts but now i am finding eco hons quite tough and non interesting.plz do suggest

1. If you feel CA is a good option for you, then you should go for it.

2. Trust me eco (h) from hansraj has a lot of value. So in no case you should leave it.

3. CA profession itself is going through a rough patch with a very bleak job scenario. So Economics is a very good back up.

4. You said you are finding it difficult. But why worry now, its already final year.

5. I believe teachers are very good at Eco dept. They would be more than willing to help you.

And I am saying all this as an ex Hansraj Eco(H) student.

The following categories of students are eligible to register directly for
Intermediate (Integrated Professional Competence) Course without passing the Common Proficiency Test (CPT):-

1. Graduates or Post Graduates from Commerce stream having secured in
aggregate a minimum of 55% of the total marks or its equivalent grade or other
Graduates or Post Graduates having secured in aggregate a minimum of 60% of
the total marks or its equivalent grade in the examination conducted by any
recognised University (including Open University).

2. Candidates who have passed the Intermediate level examination or its
equivalent examination by whatever name called conducted by The Institute of
Cost Accountants of India or by The Institute of Company Secretaries of India.

A student shall be deemed to be of Commerce stream, if he has passed Graduation/ Post Graduation examination by studying any three papers of 100 marks each out of Accounting, Auditing, Mercantile Laws, Corporate Laws, Economics, Management
(including Financial Management), Taxation (including Direct Tax Laws and Indirect Tax
Laws), Costing, Business Administration or Management Accounting.
