80C

LIC policy on life of assessee - 80C deduction is allowed only on payment of premium. For P.Yr - 08 - 09 last premium, say 4th quarter (jan 09)is paid only after mar 31st 2009. can he claim deduction for A Yr 09 - 10, as it is stated in the section that the amount need not be paid out of income chargeable to tax?
In brief : To claim deduction for A Yr 09 - 10 should the payment of premium (Pertaining to premium due on Jan 09) be before Mar 31st 2009?

Deduction u/s 80D

Mediclaim for individual and her spourse can be claimed a maximum of Rs.15,000/-
For parents Rs.15,000/-
and Senior Citizen Rs.20,000/-

If an individual takes mediclaim for himself, spourse and his parents which comes to around Rs.35,000/- what is the maximum amount which can be calimed, is it Rs.15,000/- or Rs.30,000/-

House Property

Respected Sir,
Whether Municipal Tax paid in advance can be claimed as a deduction from Gross Annual Value for a let out property?
In such a case, if Municipal tax paid exceeds Gross annual value, whether entire amount paid as municipal tax can be claimed as a deduction?
