can anyone tell me about ERP and whether i should join some institute to learn it. does ICAI provides any classes for it.i feel ERP is developing as great tool in accounting ,so pls hlp me abt this topic as my firm does give me any ERP exposure and i want to learn it.kindly reply to this query..

What is best accounting practice on treatment of exchange loss or gain which is arises on import or export transaction.

Can we adjust the loss or gain through purchase or sale account?

We are importing Raw Material based on prevailing Rate agreed with supplier,after importing the material while we make payment to supplier, the exchange loss or gain arises.Can we adjust the loss or gain on foreign exchange through purchase A/c which arises on that transaction.

Please advise me the best practice regarding the issue.

2. Purchases of Stamp paper for agreement and affidavit purpose
3. Fees paid to Notery public for attestation of documents
4. Repair of Office A.C.

Sir, We are executing pipeline projects of govt and awarding sub-contract of one part of work.We are using trasnport vehicle for transportation of material to works site. I want to know that TDs on transporation will be applicable either Contract rate or sub-contract rate.
