please tell me....what is the difference between mcx and stock exchange.....
whether all the persons dealing in stock exchange or mcx whether directly or indirectly are liable to paying tax on capital gain arising from the sale of shares or commodities..or for taxation purpose the person must be registered.....???

Hi,
An NRI want to invest in the shares and debt of a company which is engaged in the business of agriculture (mainly plantation). The NRI has an address in India and is proposing to transfer the money from from his Indian bank account (SB a/c or NRO a/c) as per the advice of the banker.
Can he follow this procedure.
What are proceudres to be followed by the company while accepting such an investment.
Please advice.

I am trading in shares. Last year i purchased a share at 100 and revalued the same at 80 during the end of the year since we value closing stock at cost or NRV whichever is less. Now if i sale it in current year, what will be the cost of the share Rs. 100 or Rs. 80? Plz reply asap

dear sir,
i'm a salaried person working in a PSU.i have income from trading in derivatives of index and equities.i want to know that which form of itr to be filled.it is legal to show business income when i'm an employee.can i consider it income from investment and show as short term capital gain in itr-2.how to calculate the value under consideration in case of derivatives as contract values are very high.can i use the margin kept as the value for acquisition.
