Dear All, I have a query. In what capacity a CA can appear before Income Tax , C.Ex./Service Tax authorities. Want to know just basic things for the same. Further a CA, who is also LL.B., can become a member of Bar Council of that State? Is it allowed in CA Act. Please advice / guide. Thanx

for last 6 (CA final exame) i failed and marks almost same vary between 175 to 182 in 1st and same in second group
i am economicaly weak student and not given 100% time in study; all my friends and family members suggested that you should quit CA and do full time job now but my parants supported me and said that u should clear your final CA .
i am very confused what do now please give me suggestion

I am working in one of big 4 audit firm in pune. I qualified CA Fianl in Nov-12 exam. I would like to ask can also sign tax audit report if i joined as a sleeping partner in any local CA firm.

I am asking this query becasue clause (11) of part i of first schedule to the ca act clearly states if you are having full time employeement in CA firm ( other than industrial employment like finance manager, director etc.), then you can signed tax audit report on behalf of local CA firm as a non-active partner, only the requirement is that you have to take prior permission of Institute.
