29 July 2013 can an individual ca sign a balance sheet with only COP and without registering the firm's name

29 July 2013 The ans is no.
As for validity of signature, both COP and reg of firms name is mandatory, else it would be like firm is not reg with icai and sign is done which in my view is not valid.

29 July 2013 If the ICAI has given your firm name as individual then yes otherwise the audit report is to be signed in the firm name only and you can sign as a proprietor.
