13 October 2009 Respected Sir/Madam

Plz tell me which book should i refer for Financial reporting in which adequate theoritical aspect is covered. What are your opinion about I.M.Pandey . G.Sekar is a complete pratical oriented and most erroneous book (in my opinion).

What about A. N. Shridhar for Stategic Financial Management.

Plz refer those books which are equally good for theoritical as well as practically good.

You may go for the following options regarding books for ca final:

For Accounts : M.P.Vijay kumar or Shukla & Agrawal along with Module And Compilation and for AS part go for D.S. Rawat

For Audit: Prakhar Sharma/Paduka/ V.K Agrawal
Note: (MP Vijay Kumar can be used for AS reference)

For Corp Law; Munish Bhandari

For Mafa: Module and Notes of Tarun Mahajan. You may also refer A.N Sridhar.

For Direct Taxes TN Manoharan (Theory part), Circular, Notification, Amendments, case law

For IDT: Vandana Bangur

For MICS: Module

For Costing: Saxena and vashist or Ravi M Kishore with module

Also refer Scanners and Suggested Answer issued by ICAI for previous year exams and revised them properly.

13 October 2009 Agree with Mr. Ankur garg, for costing you can go for Padhuks's book and for MAFA Prime Academy's book is also good.

Refer "LandMark on MAFA" by Shri. L. Muralidharan which is recently recognised by ICAI.

For Financial Reporting, you can refer "LandMark on Financial Reporting" and "LandMark on Accounting Standards" by Shri L. Muralidharan

For Auditing - Shri. Kamal Garg
For Corporate Law - Shri. Munish Bhandari
For DT - Shri. V.K. Singhania
For IDT - Prof. N.S. Govindan or Prof.Vaitheeswaran
