07 April 2012 When we just credit an amount at the year end but pay later it can be termed as book entry.
.
Suppose interest credit to Mr X's A/c of Rs 25000/- by following Mercantile System. It's payment HAS YET NOT BEEN MADE TILL 31.03.2012.It will be called a Book entry and you have to tick it as yes.

In case Rs. 25000/- has been even paid on 31.03.2012 then it is not a Book Entry.
