BELATED E-RETURN : ITRV NECESSARY ?

07 March 2010 Dear members,
I've to file a belated e-return (ITR-4)through the I.T website for A.Y. 2008-09.
But I am unable to find any ITR-V over there for A.Y.2008-09.

Could anyone please tell me how and where to find ITR-V and whether it is necessary at all.
If not,am I supposed to send/furnish anything in addition to the online e-return ?

Please help me out.

07 March 2010 normally it ITR-V comes on email. but if you didn't get then login again and you will find ITR-V there.
you should send this to banglore.

07 March 2010 you are saying u have to file then log on to the income tax web site and upto XML file. Ack for the same will be automatically genrated, U just have to take a print out of if and send it to banglore.

07 March 2010 For assessment year 2008-09, there is no need to send ITR V to Bangalore. e file the return,and if not digitally signed,the acknowledgement may be filed before the jurisdictional ITO.
