13 April 2009 Dear Sir/Madam,

I want to know while calculating Income Tax on salary basic salary should be how much in hyderabad.Whether it comes under metropolitean city or not.

13 April 2009 There is no such specific criteria for deciding the basic salary in Income Tax Act. Further Hyderabad is not covered in metropolitan cities if you are asking wrt HRA exemption of 50%/40%.
