can two or more bank come together to form a joint venture. If yes what will be the status of such joint venture?

Yes they can very well come. The form of organisation shall be as per the choice of the BANKS. Normally they form another company. So the status will be COMPANY. If they opt for AOP (Association of person), that is also possible. COUNTRYWIDE finance was one such example.
