Bank payment entry date

19 August 2014 if a cheque issued to creditor ,cheque issuing date on 18-8-2014 but after singing on cheque it shall be given to creditor 22th august , now we should make entry in my books of accounts on which date.

20 August 2014 In case of cheque issue date of entry should always be date written on cheque. In case if receiving of cheque the date of entry should be date on which cheque is deposited in Bank.

20 August 2014 in book entry will be made on date in which you issue the cheque to party , it is no relation when the ch. sign and when the creditor a/c credit by the bank.
