Bank Deposited TDS on wrong TAN

17 June 2010 Dear Sir,
We have deposited TDS with correct TAN bank has given aknowledgment (copy of Challan) with correct TAN but no any challan showing online for TDS return when i went to bank for this problem they said this amount has been deposited with wrong TAN.

So please help me what should i do.

17 June 2010 It is totally bankers mistake, ask banker to correct the same

17 June 2010 First write a letter to bank for issuing a letter confirming mistake. Then bank will issue a letter to him. Afterwards you write a letter to AO with supporting Bank letter. They will corret it.
Bank has not any power to correct it. You have to contact ITO at all.
