What is the consequence if the company intimates the auditor of his appointment late i.e; a company is to intimate the auditor within seven days of appointment but has failed to do so?

Auditor has to inform the ROC about his/her appointment. For the fault of Company, s/he should not be put into trouble.....Take a fresh meeting...

Company can be penalized u/s 629A of the Companies Act,1956.
