02 April 2010 AS PER SEC 44AB TAX AUDIT REQUIRE ONLY WHEN CROSS THE LIMIT OF 40/10 LACS.

HENCE TAX AUDIT IS NOT COMPULSORY FOR EVERY CO.

BUT STATUTORY AUDIT IS COMPULSORY AS PER CO. ACT. SEC- 216,

Tax audit is compulsory for pvt. companies when its turnover is more then Rs.40 laks per annum. hence tax audit isnt compulsoty for every pvt. co.
