26 October 2014 Do we required to submit Authority Letter of CA for Proceeding u/s 148(Income Escaping Assessment)? If Yes can anyone provide me format of the same? Is it require to be on stamp paper?

26 October 2014 If the assessee is authorizing a CA to appear, necessarily a vakalath is required in stamp paper. Value of stamp paper varies from state to state (state stamp act may be referred to).

being an incometax assessee with PANo........ do hereby authorize Mr. B. Chackrapani Warrier, FCA of M/s. R & K, Chartered Accountants, ................., Trivandrum -695035 to represent me before the income tax officer WD-1, TRIVANDRUM, in connection with the income tax case for the assessment year 2011-12 and to produce and take back accounts and records connected therewith.

I, the undersigned, do hereby agree to ratify and confirm all acts done by the above Chartered Accountant in the matter as my own acts, as if done by me to all intents and purposes.
