03 December 2010 I Have heard that there is a contradiction in the AS-9 & the Service Tax Provisions regarding the booking of the service tax receipts/revenue recognition. Can anyone has a synopsis of this contradiction.

03 December 2010 There is no contradiction in the two. You can account for revenue on accrual basis but service tax is payable on payable basis only.
