12 January 2025 are GST input available of imported Goods , RCM and ISD in GST portal 2B.

14 January 2025 Importers who are registered under GST can claim ITC on the Integrated Goods and Services Tax (IGST) and GST Compensation Cess paid during the import of goods. However, Basic Customs Duty (BCD) is not eligible for ITC.
GSTR-2B provides a static statement reflecting the ITC available against each document filed by suppliers, including information on imports from ICEGATE. This includes inward supplies received from Special Economic Zones (SEZs).

14 January 2025 The ITC for RCM payments can be claimed by the recipient, provided they maintain proper documentation. However, details of RCM payments do not auto-populate in GSTR-2B and must be manually entered.

14 January 2025 ISDs can distribute ITC among their branches or units. The details regarding ITC distributed by ISDs are also captured in GSTR-2B, enabling registered taxpayers to claim credits accordingly.
Taxpayers can access their GSTR-2B statement through the GST portal, where they can check for any missing records related to imports by fetching them from ICEGATE if necessary.
