can anybody explain how he concept of arbitrage works?? with example.

a simplest example is that of stocks listed on both BSE and NSE...on any given point of time, you will find that there is a price differential between the price of a stock on NSE and BSE. so you sell in one exchange and buy on the other to make benefit out of price differences.
