14 July 2024 If you have inadvertently filed ADT-1 for the appointment of Auditor in 22 companies and signed them on behalf of your firm without authorization to do so, you should take the following steps to rectify the situation:

1. **Review the ADT-1 Forms:**
- Carefully review each ADT-1 form that you have filed for these 22 companies to confirm the details and ensure accuracy.

2. **Notify the Companies:**
- Immediately inform each of the 22 companies about the error. Contact the company secretary or the authorized person responsible for compliance at each company.

3. **Withdraw the ADT-1 Forms:**
- Prepare and submit a formal request to withdraw the ADT-1 forms that were incorrectly filed. This request should be addressed to the Registrar of Companies (RoC) where the forms were filed.
- Include details such as company name, CIN (Corporate Identity Number), and reasons for withdrawal (inadvertent filing without proper authorization).

4. **File Correct ADT-1 Forms:**
- Once the incorrect ADT-1 forms have been withdrawn or rejected (if not yet processed), prepare and file new ADT-1 forms for each company.
- Ensure that these forms are signed correctly by the authorized signatory of your firm, which may require all partners to sign or delegate signing authority to one partner for consistency.

5. **Follow-up with RoC:**
- Monitor the status of the withdrawal requests and new filings with the RoC. Follow up as necessary to expedite the process and ensure compliance.

6. **Review Internal Processes:**
- Conduct a review within your firm to understand how this error occurred and implement measures to prevent similar issues in the future.
- Establish clear procedures for signing and filing documents to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

7. **Seek Professional Advice:**
- If you encounter any difficulties or complexities during this process, consider seeking advice from a legal advisor or another qualified professional who specializes in corporate law and compliance.

### Additional Considerations:

- **Legal Implications:** Incorrect filings may have legal implications or penalties. Promptly addressing the issue and correcting the filings is crucial to avoid potential repercussions.

- **Communication:** Maintain open communication with the companies affected and the RoC to resolve the issue efficiently.

By taking these steps promptly and accurately, you can rectify the inadvertent filing of ADT-1 forms for appointment of Auditor and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

If you require further assistance or have specific questions during this process, feel free to consult with legal counsel or regulatory experts who can provide tailored guidance based on your situation.
