As per my knowledge-For latest details of requirement of VAT & CST registration you may visit sales tax web site.
For resitration in Maharashtra in case of voluntary registration
1. Non refundable deposit is Rs 5000/-
2. Refundable Rs 25000/- can be adjusted agianst sales tax payable(general practice)
In addition to above general fees as required are to be paid.
