application for service tax number

22 October 2008 My client is a private ltd. company who has given one of its office premises on rent. The company has its regd office in nariman point and the office premises let out are also in nariman point.

Can u tell me where form st-1 needs to be submitted and what enclosures are to be attached alongwith it for new number?

22 October 2008 Do you mean the said private limited company wants to take service tax registration.If so submit the following documents before the jurisdictional Superintendent of central excise (service tax ) section.

1)Form ST-1 dully filled up.
2)Certified copy of memorandum and articles of association.
3)certified true copy of company's pan card.
4)certified copy of a document showing address of place of service.(eg;- bank pass sheet,telephone bill.....)
